Application Access

Who Can Login?

Households can only log in if they have an active application. To receive access, they must first submit a screening form and then receive an application request or an invitation to apply.

Both the Applicant and Co-applicant can log in and work on the application.

Limited Application Access

Households can log in until the application is submitted or the application due date passes.

If document corrections are requested, the application is accessible until resubmission or the correction due date.

System Conditions (Service File)
  • The Service File must exist
  • Status = Application in Process
  • Application Status = Invited, Incomplete or Document Corrections

Login Page URL

For most clients, the login page URL follows this format:

https://authentication.[your organization URL]

Tip: Keep this link prominently on your website so Applicants can easily find it. All program Applicants, as well as current renters and owners, use the same login page.

You can edit the language on your login page to welcome users of your different housing programs:
Go to Public House app > Setup > Login Page

Reminder Links

Reminder emails and SMS text messages have application links. Clicking these links counts as the authentication for that source. For example, clicking the link in the SMS text message will count as phone verification and the applicant will only need to step through authenticating their email.

SMS links expire after 2 weeks typically expire after 2 weeks. Email links will work up to the corresponding due date.

Reminder emails and text messages include application login links. Clicking a reminder link counts as verification for that contact method. For example, if an applicant clicks the SMS link, only email authentication will remain.
