Field history tracking keeps a record of changes made to key fields over time — useful for audits, catching data entry issues, and understanding how a record reached its current state.
Before You Start
Setting up field history tracking requires System Administrator access in Salesforce, since it's configured through Object Manager.
Note: Salesforce limits history tracking to 20 fields per object.
Enabling Field History Tracking
