Lottery steps unlock one at a time. For example, a Lottery cannot be ranked if participants are not assigned to the Property Lotteries they’ve expressed interest in. This is a short overview of the Lottery page when the Screening Form is closed and Properties can be assigned to Lotteries.
Assigning Participants to Property Lotteries.
Once the Screening Form is closed (the End Date has passed), an option appears to assign entries into property lotteries. This will automatically assign all eligible households to each property lottery they’ve expressed interest in on the Lottery Screening Form.
- Open the Lottery Screening Campaign in your Campaign view or by searching for it.
Note: the Assign Properties to Lottery button only appears after the Campaign End Date has passed and assignments have not yet been made.
- Click Assign Properties to Lottery and confirm:
- The lottery screening period was open for a sufficient and accessible duration.
- Households with unverified email addresses received at least two notification emails prompting verification.
- Any manually modified intake records are compliant with fair lottery standards and applicable regulations.
- No changes can be made once the process begins.
Properties are now assigned to Lotteries, archives are created and data is uploaded to the cloud - accessible from the Archives button in the upper left.
Resetting Lottery Assignments
If you are running a test or for any reason need to reset the the property assignments, you may do so only if the lottery Properties have not been ranked and notifications sent.
If properties have been ranked but rank notifications have not been sent, this process will also remove those ranks.
Click Cancel / Reset Property Lotteries and confirm:
- Removal of all populated members across all property lotteries.
- Deletion of all ranked lottery entries (where applicable).
- Reset of populate/rank fields on each property campaign.
- This action cannot be undone.
Once you reset the lottery assignments, you will have the option to Assign Properties to Lottery again.
