Configuring Annual Surveys

Questions and Notifications 

To modify existing Annual Survey questions or add new resident notifications (such as Intent to Sell, Refinance, or Home Improvements), please contact support@public.house. 

Program Config

Annual Surveys are specific to an application Program. You’ll find configuration settings in the Public House App, under the Annual Surveys tab on the related Program. If you do not see the Annual Surveys tab, your Resident Portal and Annual Surveys have not been configured. 

Annual Survey Instructions

Customize the message that appears to residents at the start of the Annual Survey. This is a helpful place to provide reminders about why owners are required to complete the annual surveys.

Attestation

Enter any attestation or confirmation text that residents must review and acknowledge before submitting their survey. This typically includes:

  • Program rules or deed restrictions
  • Certification of truth and accuracy
  • Acknowledgment of ongoing eligibility requirements

Digital Signatures

You can toggle electronic signature on or off from the Annual Survey settings panel. When enabled, residents are prompted to electronically sign a PDF of their completed survey during submission.

Communications

Customize the Annual Survey Reminder and Annual Survey Past Due emails in the Program’s Communication Templates in Public House app.

Reminder Schedule

  • Reminder messages escalate in frequency as the due date approaches
  • Past due notifications are sent every 3 days for two weeks following the deadline

Adding or Editing Required Documents

You can update the list of required document uploads that appear in the Annual Survey by editing your Required Document Templates.

To ensure the documents display during the survey process, set the Location Field to: Occupancy Certification.
