Manually Creating Monitoring Events

Manual Monitoring Event creation may be needed if:

  • The Close Date was recently added or updated
  • The owner record was created after the bulk delivery
  • The Service File didn’t meet the automation criteria
  • You’re testing survey delivery on a new test record

Step 1: Service File Checklist

Before creating a Monitoring Event, check that the Service File is correctly set up.

  • Status = Current Owner
  • Applicant populate with Owner’s Contact
  • Property correctly populate
  • Program correctly populate
  • Confirm the Owner’s Contact has a valid email

Step 2: Create a Monitoring Event

Go to the resident’s Service File > Related tab > Monitoring Events and click New Monitoring Event. Fill in the following fields:

✅ Once saved, the Event will behave like any other — it will appear in dashboards, send reminders, and unlock access to the Resident Portal. You can confirm email delivery by checking for the email in the Activities related list on the Service File or Contact.
